Sometimes in the lives of Christians, we seem to feel lacking in confidence.

It could be that we have been out of step with Jesus, or perhaps we have been selfish.

But whatever the reason we can be very sure of one thing, this lack of confidence cannot help us.

This article will be about how to develop confidence in Jesus.

Understanding

Lost in the Word

Before we attempt to know Jesus, we should first consider what it is that Jesus wants from us.

That is something we can find in Mark 10:25. “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’

So our challenge is to understand and seek to understand God. If we seek to understand we will begin to receive confidence.

Knowledge

Before we attempt to know Jesus, we should first consider what it is that Jesus wants from us.

That is something we can find in Mark 10:25. “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’

So our challenge is to understand and seek to understand God. If we seek to understand we will begin to receive confidence.

Searching for Christ

We must know where to find Jesus.

He is found in Matthew 8:14 and John 4:16. So how do we find Christ?

First, we need to be sure that Jesus has called us to follow him.

Once we have understood this, we will then begin to search for him.

Have faith

As we seek to find Christ, we need to have confidence that God will open the door for us.

He is our friend and our savior, but we have to understand that as friends, we need to trust that we can find him.

Have faith and believe that God will help us to find him.

Ask God to show you

Believing that God will help us to find him is a step in the right direction.

Asking God to show you where to find Christ is a fantastic way to gain confidence in finding him.

Communicate

The most important part of finding God is that we communicate to him what it is we want.

He is not a stranger to us. He knows what we need and where we are.

So as we seek to understand he will lead us to understand him. We should talk to him as if he is right in front of us.

For many of us, finding Jesus can be very difficult.

And when we do find him we will have to make a commitment to him and learn to listen to what he has to say.

However, he will be the one who helps us to grow in him and develop a relationship with him.

He is very patient with us. He wants to teach us and build a relationship with us.

This will help us to grow in faith and confidence in him. Having confidence in Jesus is what God wants for all his children.

His grace is sufficient for you and you can have confidence in him.

Confidence in Jesus

People need to trust in Jesus and know that he will stand by them in whatever they have to do.

Christians are believers in Jesus and they have faith in him.

Jesus is our strength and we do have confidence in him. So having confidence in Jesus will give you the strength to live a full life.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind.”

2 Peter 1:7 says, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds, you have been healed.”

3 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 4:8 says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

That’s confidence in Jesus. When we have confidence in him, God will bless us.

1 John 4:13-14 says, “Dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.”

Jesus loves you, no matter what!

Holy Bible

There is no room for comparison in life, as God hates comparing.

Once we compare our lives with other people or with ourselves, that is when we will be deceived and will sin. This is the game of the devil, so we must not compare ourselves with anyone.

There is no room for envy in your life and all you need to do is have faith in Jesus and see the true and genuine blessings that God has given to those who have had a relationship with him.

Have confidence in Jesus and he will never leave you.

1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

1 John 3:18 says, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear involves punishment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

Have confidence in Jesus and you will have peace in your heart.
