When you are home this Friday, you are in the mood for fast food. Well, that’s not good, there are so many healthy and delicious dishes that you can make.

The ones I am about to describe are healthier and a lot fewer calories and they taste amazing too.


There are so many types of pancakes. The best one is the one with eggs, sugar, and cinnamon.

They’re a great substitute for pancakes, but the following ones are more flavorful and healthier too.

I always mix it up for dinner, so this time I chose to make a banana cake.

This dish is nutritious and so delicious. It’s delicious with whipped cream or ice cream.

To make this recipe you will need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1-2 pieces of melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup of self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of mashed banana

For the topping you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of nuts
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey
  • You should prepare this recipe in two sessions.

For the first one, you will prepare the ingredients, mix them well, and set them aside for a few hours.

After a few hours, you will prepare the rest. Wash, peel, and chop the bananas. Mix them with coconut and flour.

Next, add the egg, vanilla, sugar, and baking powder.

Next, take the oil, butter, and bananas and mix them thoroughly.

Lastly, mix the mashed banana with honey and salt.

Lastly, add the shredded coconut and the walnuts.

With a spatula, mix the ingredients until they are well combined.

Scoop into the pan or baking tin and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for about 35-40 minutes, or until the edges of the cake are golden.

Also, be careful with the orzo because they aren’t high in fiber and you want to make sure they absorb as much broth as possible.

This is a great, fresh, healthy, and delicious dish.

Once again, if you’re not sure you can make it the night before, do what I did and make the dish a few days ahead.

It can last for a few days in the fridge before you put it together.

You could even make a frozen version if you’re worried about it spoiling in the fridge overnight.

Roasted garlic asparagus

You could make this dish a few days in advance as well. Add garlic bread to your list of things to make in advance.

This one is also a very good idea to make on a Monday morning and refrigerate for the rest of the week.

This is a great recipe and pretty quick.

It would also be a good dish to make in advance to put in the fridge and use as needed.

Although this isn’t strictly a weeknight meal, it is great for weekend meals and you can definitely make it ahead of time and assemble it on the weekend.

You could even make this up ahead of time and refrigerate.

This is a great way to use leftovers, a good summertime meal, or a good day to have lunch.

I would suggest making up some of the vegetables ahead of time and making the chicken the day before you put it together.
